Frequently Asked Questions

How many members will be in the group coaching cohort?
The group will have a maximum of eight people. Group size of eight or fewer facilitates purposeful participation by everyone and the opportunity for group members to get to know each other.

How does the group meet?
The group will meet via Zoom. You can access Zoom from a PC or Mac, from your tablet or phone. If you’re unfamiliar with Zoom, I’ll provide instructions and assist you in setting it up.

When does the group meet?
We will meet every Wednesday evening for three months. The first session will be April  2021. All dates to be announced.

What if I can’t make a session?
Each session will be recorded and made available to cohort members. I will also be available for a 15-minute “catch-up and clarify” session with you. It is strongly encouraged that you plan to attend every session, as we will build from one to the next. And yet, life happens. I understand.

What will I be doing?

  • At each group session, we will have a short reflection and check-in time followed by a brief teaching or guided reflection on the subject of that session. The majority of the session will be given to responding to that teaching via practice, discussion, or a related learning method.
  • Between sessions you will be encouraged to put into practice some aspect of the week’s session. The more that you are willing and able to practice methods and behaviors in your work and life outside of the Insight Into Action cohort, the more you will gain in your learning and ability to put insight into action.
  • Supplemental materials will be provided throughout the coaching program. The materials will include brief readings, podcast episodes, video clips, or even reflection questions and prompts. The materials are intended to—
    • Lay the table for the upcoming session.
    • Provide follow-up or continuation of the previous session’s topic.

Supplemental materials will be available throughout the session and for two weeks following. You can print or store these materials, as is best for you.

What time commitments will be required?
Group sessions are 90 minutes. The amount of time dedicated to pre/post session activities is dependent on you. The pre/post activities and materials supplement the sessions. They are not required assignments. Spending 15 – 20 minutes with pre-session materials before that gathering will enhance your time and that of the entire group.

As a participant, what support will I have?
Beyond the Group Sessions, you will also have—

  • Two 1-on-1 coaching sessions, scheduled for your convenience, between the start of the program and up to two weeks post-program.
  • An opportunity to invest in two additional 1-on-1 sessions.
  • Materials (mentioned above) to assist and enhance your learning throughout and beyond the program.
  • The possibility of relationships with group members that can last beyond the conclusion of the program.

What are the benefits of attending a virtual (web-based) group coaching program over an in-person program?
Virtual programs are an ideal choice for busy professionals. You can participate in a coaching program without having to leave your home or office. Virtual programs also facilitate a geographically-dispersed group. This can add to the richness of our time together. A virtual gathering also offers the opportunity to apply your learning as soon as you log out of Zoom.

How do I set up my 1-on-1 coaching sessions?
You will receive an email with a link to select a date and time for your coaching session.

What is the cost?
The cost of the Insight into Action group coaching program is $475, payable in two installments. The cost includes all the group sessions, two individual coaching sessions, and access to all materials used. You can add up to two additional, individual coaching sessions for $150.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Payments are to be made through an online secure transaction with PayPal. You may pay with a credit card or your bank account information if setup in your PayPal account.

What if at the end of the program I am not satisfied with the program, and it hasn’t helped me in any way?
I will refund your money if you find that Insight into Action hasn’t met your expectations or needs.
